An Insight to the World’s Ecosystems

Look around you, and it’s easy to see that the world is home to a variety of ecosystems. Forests, grasslands, deserts, and even urban areas are all examples of ecosystems. Every ecosystem must have five basic things to thrive: appropriate sunlight, water sources, minerals and gases that are essential for plant growth such as carbon dioxide, soil nutrients like nitrogen and phosphorous (for example), and various plants and animals that serve as “primary producers” of energy in the system through photosynthesis.
